Venue Technical Manager

The primary purpose and function of the TSD Venue Manager is to oversee TSD lighting, sound and technical services at WCEP Venues (Pure Space & Flex Space). The TSD Venue Manager will work in close partnership with the TSD Sales Manager, the President of WCEP and others to ensure the appropriate technical equipment, staff, and subcontractors are planned and available for the safe, and timely execution of the daily delivery, event staffing, and pick-up for WCEP events. The position also assists the Director of Operations and the Warehouse Manager in scheduling and maintaining appropriate personnel for setup and technical oversight of events.


General Responsibilities:

  • Venue and Event Experience is required
  • To sell and document TSD services for WCEP Venues utilizing Point of Rental (POR) software system
  • Ensure that all Pure Space & Flex Space (venue) events are professionally and correctly executed
  • To act as lead technician at the venues
  • To schedule staff appropriately to complete jobs, balance hours, and minimize overtime
  • To manage inventory to support sales, and minimize subrental costs and storage related damage
  • To supervise staff and all operations to achieve safety and productivity goals and to adhere to all applicable laws
  • Schedule and ensure efficient use of subcontracted services
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings
  • Act as a client liaison (e-mail, phone, and in-person) for TSD needs
  • Create CADs for TSD needs
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of TSD equipment
  • Provide help as needed on Technical Service requirements for events held outside of WCEP venues
